Directions to Fido's Friend at
Thurmont, Maryland

We are located south of Gettysburg, PA, and north of Frederick, MD, just a few miles off US Route 15.

FROM FREDERICK:
Take Rt. 15 North approx. 6 miles, turn right onto Old Frederick Road. Follow Old Frederick Roadapproximately 6 miles to a STOP sign, At Stop Sign, turn right onto Rt. 550 South. We are the third lane on the left, There are two black mailboxes across the road with the address # of 12155,

FROM THE NORTH:
Take US Rt. 15 to Thurmont. Take Rt. 550 Exit. Follow Rt. 550 approximately 6 miles to #12155 Creagerstown Rd.

(Note that Rt. 550 winds around Thurmont a bit, so keep an eye on the signs.)

Drive up into the farm and park on the right, next to the agility course and shop buildings.

Please keep dogs on a leash until in a designated area.

Fee: $10 per day, per dog for drive-in, day use patrons.

We are open every day, daylight hours.

Located on 275 acres of central
Maryland farm land, Fido's Friend Thurmont offers field sites for any self -contained RV and primitive sites for tent campers.

A limited number of hookups are available.

Enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of the Catoctin Mountains and rolling farm land. A large, fenced pasture is available for your horses to stretch their legs during travel breaks.

A BOARDING KENNEL with spacious indoor & outdoor runs is available for $18 per day.

SPECIAL SERVICES - PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINING

If you need help with training your dog, the staff at Fido's Friend can assist you. Professional trainer, Bob Seelye has helped thousands of people over the years and is the trainer of choice when veterinarians in the area have clients with problems. He has personally trained the staff at Fido's Friend on his method of dealing with problem dogs as well as just plain basic good manners. We are happy to provide you with testimonials from past and current clients.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We enjoy having dog clubs and private groups come to Fido's Friend. We've hosted regional clubs such as the Whippet Club, Vizsla Club, Bassett Hound Club, Italian Grey Hound Club, Dock Diving Club, as well as trainng groups and veterinarian-sponsored events.
